Mexico City, one of the largest cities in world, has everything to entertain modern, savvy and family travelers who are here on vacation or business. Mexico City was settled in 1325 as the Aztec capital city of Tenochtitlan. It was later destroyed by Spanish conqueror Hernando Cortez in 1521. In 1821, Mexico City became the capital of the Mexican Empire and with the dismissal of Agustin de Iturbide in 1823, it became the head state of the Mexican Republic. In the 20th, Mexico City had an immense growth. In 1968, it hosted the Olympics Games and on the occasion of it Azteca Stadium, the Palacio de los Desportes, the Olympic Stadium and other sports facilities were developed.

Mexico City is an important administrative, financial and cultural centre of Mexico. You can visit Zocalo, the historic centre of the city. The Chapultepec Park is a fantastic attraction in the city offering people of all ages a host of entertainment opportunities. In Mexico City, you can see a perfect harmony between the old culture and modern life. It cannot be denied that in Mexico City, you can find history everywhere. Mexico City is also known as the City of Palaces because of the presence of numerous stately buildings especially in the Centro. There are many 12th century pre-Columbian buildings and landmarks like Basilica de Guadalupe, Plaza Garibaldi-Mariachi, Alameda and Paseo de la Reforma and many more, which you can visit.
